| |
| School Wide Improvement Model |
Royal Palm will analyse student performance data in order to identify areas of instructional need. (The sources may come from but not limited to FCATs, DIEBELS, BRIGANCE, and may or may not include the student's Portfolio.)
Students are given frequent assessments in order to demonstrate mastery of the instructional objective. Enrichment opportunities are given to students to inhance their knowledge and mastery of the skills.
Previously taught objectives and skills are reviewed and assessed to ensure the students are maintaining that skill.
Administrators make classroom visitations during instructional time periods to monitor student learning, student achievement and provide teacher support. |
| |
| Communication with Parents |
Royal Palm Charter School provides parents with written notification on student academic progress every 4.5 weeks by using the district interim report form and the district progress report (nine weeks). Progress Monitoring Reports are developed for students without IEPs that are working below grade level with parent input. This will provide assistance by the classroom teacher in the needed academic areas of concern. Our parents and teachers are encouraged to conference and discuss student achievment
.
FCAT information is distributed to all the third grade parents prior to testing and again as soon as results are available from the State of Florida. We do share practice test information with parents as well. |
